Every weekend I list several blog posts from the week that I thought were really good. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Well, Super Bowl Sunday is finally here. Unfortunately my team didn’t make it, but that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying it. As long as it’s a good game, that’s all I care about. In an interesting twist, the power to half the stadium just went out. As a result the game is on hold at the moment. Funny stuff. You’d think that things like this wouldn’t happen at the biggest football game of the year. It’s got to be pretty embarrasing for whoever manages the stadium.
Even if you couldn’t care less about football, the Super Bowl is great to watch simply for the commercials. The commercials are pretty hit or miss, with some that are pretty good and others that totally miss the mark. Imagine you’re the marketing director in charge of creating one of the commercials that totally flops… Would you lose your job? And would it be difficult to find another job afterward? I would imagine that blowing $4 million of your company’s money on a crummy Super Bowl ad would come up in an interview…
