Every weekend I list several blog posts from the week that I thought were really good. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
This Wednesday is my birthday, and I will be turning 29 years old. The birthday festivities started today, run through this coming week, and will conclude next Sunday. Sounds like quite the lineup, huh? Well, my brother-in-law’s birthday is tomorrow, so we had a combined birthday get-together today at my in-laws’ house with dinner and cake. On Wednesday (my actual birthday), my wife and I have lunch reservations at a nice restaurant near where I work. And finally, next Sunday we’re having a birthday dinner and cake at my parents’ house. By the time next Sunday rolls around I am going to be caked out. Who am I kidding? I love cake! It’s one of my favorite things. I joke with my wife that if I could do one thing over from our wedding day, I would eat more of the cake.
In other news, we had a decent batch of freezing rain today. Winter weather in the midwest isn’t exactly fun. When it comes time for retirement, I can definitely see us as one of those couples that moves down south for the winter months.
