On Saturdays I list several blog posts from the week that I thought were really good. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
I was at work yesterday when I overheard some people talking about a shooting at a school. I found out later just how horrible this situation really was, with a man walking into an elementary school and shooting and killing 20 children and 6 adults. Hearing the details of the shooting was like being sucker-punched in the gut; it knocks the wind out of you. My heart goes out to everyone involved with that awful event and their friends and families. Words simply cannot express the sorrow I feel towards those families that lost a child in this way. To think that these kids were ages 6 and 7… They had their whole lives ahead of them. And just like that a psycho walks in and ends it all.
As a father myself, I can imagine the grief of losing my child. I know there’s nothing anyone can say to those parents that will make them feel better. Let us all send our thoughts and prayers to those affected…
