Friends of the Family: Fighting Irish Edition

On Saturdays I list several blog posts from the week that I thought were really good. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

We’re approaching bowl season in college football, and it’s pretty exciting. My wife and I root for Notre Dame, and it’s been a long time since they’ve really had a successful season. Well, as of today’s win they are 11 and 0 and still in the chase for the BCS title game. We’re currently ranked #3 behind Kansas State and Oregon, so we still need one of those two teams to lose a game. And, of course, we still need to take care of business and win our final game next week. It’s pretty exciting since we live in northern Indiana, and almost everyone around here are huge Notre Dame fans. A Notre Dame win over the weekend makes for a much more pleasant week in the workplace.

Thanks for sharing my Best Financial tip with your fans Justin. I’m not a big Football fan as I never grew up around it, more rugby and well you know Soccer so I don’t know the first thing about the sport so I guess I’ll say GO Notre Dame! Cheers Mate. Mr.CBB

Oh no! You’re a Notre Dame fan…. :( My alma mater…K-State lost HUGE last night and opened the door for the Irish. Oh well, I think I can still come and visit your blog. :) Thanks for the mention!

I knew for sure that this year was coming for Notre Dame the minute they hired Brian Kelly. That guy is an incredible football coach. As a resident of Michigan, I watched him dominate when he coached at Grand Valley and Central Michigan, and then of course at Cincinnati. Notre Dame will be good for a long time, as long as he stays to coach. The only step up for him would be the NFL.

Oh, and good PF blog roundup and whatnot.
