Friends of the Family: Windy Weekend Edition

On Saturdays (or Sundays in this case) I list several blog posts from the week that I thought were really good. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

This weekend has been super windy. Just another sign of the changing seasons. You know how I wrote a week or so ago about taking our dog to the park? Well, apparently he must have walked in something along the trail, because he developed some kind of allergic reaction on his paws. We noticed they were a little red and that he would periodically lick his paws, but we didn’t really think anything of it. He had a follow up vet appointment about his eye, and the vet said the issue with his paws was an allergy. Poor guy. We got him some special shampoo and lotion to put on to help clear it up.

Sorry to hear about your dog. We had a similar situation with ours a few years ago when it was bit by some sort of bug and had a nasty reaction to it. Thanks for the mention!

Sorry about your dog. Our dogs paws have been bleeding a little and we took him in this week and they had to scrap off a few cysts. Now he is stuck wearing a cone until he finishes antibiotics. Thanks for including me

I never really thought about pets and allergies to be honest with you. I never thought for a moment that they would get them but I guess I am wrong. We’ve been lucky with our dog over the years although the vet would like a cool $700 to clean his teeth.. so we started budgeting for that huge expense. Thanks for the mention.. hope the dog is better now. Cheers Mr.CBB
