Blogging Milestone

Over the past few days, I discovered that I have now written over 100 blog posts! I officially started this blog on February 23rd, and I really didn’t know how well the whole thing would go over. I was a regular reader of some of the larger personal finance blogs such as The Simple Dollar and Get Rich Slowly and thought I had some insights that might be worth sharing. I had tossed around the idea of starting a blog for quite a while, but never seemed to have the time to get one set up.

But I finally did it. I was somewhat concerned about consistently coming up with new post ideas, but it really hasn’t been too difficult. I have a pretty active mind, and I haven’t had any trouble at all coming up with these first 100 posts. We’ll see what happens in the future, but so far so good. My other concern was whether or not anyone would actually read what I was writing. I started sharing my posts on Facebook and drew in some readers. I also started reading and commenting on other blogs, which I had never really done. I had no idea that there were so many other really good personal finance blogs out there. It’s been really fun to read, comment, and interact with other bloggers. It’s also really neat to look at my blog stats and see some of the Google searches people type in that lead to my posts.

I’ve seen my readership steadily increase, and I want to let all you readers know that I truly appreciate all the support.

If you enjoy reading this blog, here are some ways to show your support:

  • Subscribe to new posts by e-mail (at the top of the sidebar on the right) or RSS (the orange button at the very top of the page)
  • Like us on Facebook.
  • Follow us on Twitter. I will figure out how to use this soon, I promise.
  • If you really like a post or something really catches your attention, leave a comment.

Again, thank you for the support. If you have any suggestions to make this a better blog please let me know. I’ll keep up the posting if you all will keep up the reading (though really I’ll post even if you don’t read).

Congrats on your progress. Everyone in the pf blogging community are so nice and helpful, it’s great. Good luck keeping up with the posting ideas. Mine seem to come in spurts. Here lately I have had a bit of writers block but hopefully that will subside soon!

Thanks! I’m sure it will progressively get more difficult to come up with new ideas, but it’s a lot of fun.

Congrats on the milestone! It is a big one for sure. I just started a couple months ago but have really enjoyed blogging. Best of luck to you for the next 100 and 1,000 :)
